Treadmills FAQs

Which treadmills are best for home?

The first consideration most have is available space. In the case of limited space, a folding treadmill can be ideal. Folding treadmills are quickly gaining popularity as more advanced models are being released, and many have the same features as larger running machines, such as incline adjustment, including the DKN RoadRun-i and DKN Endurun.

There are also manual treadmills which don’t move until you do - great if you want to place it somewhere without easy access to power. The Assault Air Runner is a great example, designed to mimic the feeling of running on the road from the comfort of your own home.

Are treadmills better than exercise bikes for losing weight?

The difference is mostly negligible. If you look online you’ll find a few different opinions, and many people believe that jogging is a more efficient way to burn calories, but ultimately any exercise is good. What really matters is choosing something that you’ll use, and keep using.

A spin machine will likely burn more calories than walking on your treadmill, while running will tend to burn more than cycling - it all depends on how hard you push yourself.
