Weight Sets & Accessories FAQs

What set of weights should I get?

For a basic strength training setup for home use, you could start with a standard weight set: a 28mm barbell with some cast weight plates to suit. For gym-level training an Olympic bar set is best – these feature rotating ends for a smoother lift, and bushes and bearings for added strength. Bumper plates take an Olympic bar to the next level – these are the strongest plates you can get, made to be thrown around and dropped from height, though there are variations to suit every budget.

Do weight sets come with a bar?

Already have a bar? We sell weights in packages to suit whichever bar you have. Need a bar? We sell packages including whichever bar you are after, from standard to Olympic. We’re also happy to tailor a package to suit your training style and budget.
