Returns Policy

GymQuip Fitness and Spas anticipates that your purchase will meet your expectations of quality, function and design. If, however in the unfortunate situation where you may require an exchange, you must present proof of purchase to the store.

You can choose an exchange or refund if the item you purchased has a major problem, such as, if the item:

  • Has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item, if they had known about it
  • Is unsafe
  • Is significantly different from the sample or description
  • Doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed

GymQuip Fitness and Spas may offer to repair, exchange or provide a credit voucher. If the problem is not major. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time, you can choose a refund or replacement item. Some warranties are tiered which means different components may be covered by different periods, please take the time to familiarise yourself with these warranties prior to purchase. Unless otherwise specified in the warranty terms – such as in-house labour warranty, you will need to return your faulty item to GymQuip Fitness and Spas for assessment. We can arrange to assess on site for an additional charge. Some occasions require the item to be inspected by the supplier in case of a fault.

GymQuip Fitness and Spas are not obliged to provide an exchange or refund, if you simply change your mind about your purchase. This includes pre-sale orders, indent orders or future orders.

As most spas a pre-ordered with a lead time of around 12 weeks, GymQuip Fitness and Spas has the right to charge a cancellation fee of 30% of the total invoice price of any spa order that is cancelled – including accessories – on the original invoice.

Online (Webstore) Purchases – If an Exchange or Refund is required

If you purchased an item online via www.gymquipfitness.com or associated url’s that point to that site owed by GymQuip Fitness and Spas, and upon delivery find that the item is unfortunately defective, damaged, has been sent incorrectly, or does not match the description to which it was advertised, please return the item to our Fyshwick showroom. If applicable, we will arrange the replacement item to you, at no charge.

In such circumstances, please contact our Webstore via gymquip@gqfitness.com.au where one of our friendly staff will contact you directly to discuss the best exchange process suitable for you.

GymQuip Fitness and Spas are not obliged to provide an exchange or refund, if you simply change your mind about your purchase.

Shipping Policy

We aim to despatch stock items within 72 hours of receipt of your payment. You can typically expect to receive orders within 7 – 14 working days. Seasonal surges and other circumstances may delay your order but we will update you if this is the case.

On occasions where a product may be temporarily out of stock, the customer will be contacted either by telephone or email and can either wait the extra delivery time or be offered a refund or exchange for a product that is in stock, unless it is described as a pre-sale or indent order when the order was placed.

Costs vary depending upon parcel sizes and delivery areas. Current trading terms restrict all orders to within Australian borders. All shipping costs are based upon historical average costs and actual costs can be slightly larger or smaller than the amount charged.

Gift Voucher Policy

These terms apply to all gift vouchers issued by or on behalf of GymQuip Fitness and Spas. By purchasing, redeeming or attempting to redeem a Gift voucher, you agree to the following terms.

  1. Redeemable for goods purchased online and at participating GymQuip Fitness and Spas stores.
  2. The Gift Voucher is valid for 24 months from date of issue.
  3. Git Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. No change will be given. The Gift Voucher can be redeemed in whole or for part of a payment. Unredeemed values will remain on the Gift Voucher until card expiry or until redeemed, whichever occurs first. Any remaining balance will be cancelled on expiry of the validity period. The Gift Voucher should be treated like cash.
  4. GymQuip Fitness and Spas is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged Gift Vouchers.
  5. GST will not apply to the sale of a Gift Voucher, specifically the face value/loaded amount.
  6. The Gift Voucher is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card.
  7. GymQuip Fitness and Spas reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the Gift Vouchers at any time and to take appropriate actions, including the cancellation of the Gift Voucher if, at its discretion, it deems such action necessary.
  8. Should GymQuip Fitness and Spas suspect any fraud relating to a Gift Voucher, GymQuip Fitness and Spas may refuse to redeem the Gift Voucher until GymQuip Fitness and Spas is satisfied that no fraud has occured.
  9. Neither GymQuip Fitness and Spas, nor the provider of the data, represents or guarantees, or accepts any liability whatsoever in respect of, the accuracy, currency or completeness of the Gift Voucher information. GymQuip Fitness and Spas does not accept any liability for any delays, interruptions, errors, or omissions, however occurring (including as a result of negligence) in the collecting, recording, processing, storing or dissemination of this information.

Layby Policy

GymQuip Fitness and Spas offer a 3 month lay-by period and require a 20% deposit of the total purchase price including any delivery fees. Monthly repayments are required during the lay-by period. Full payment is required prior to collection / delivery of the invoice. Cancellations may be charged a termination / restocking fee.

Privacy Statement

GymQuip Fitness and Spas recognises that your privacy is very important to you. Providing your personal information is an act of trust that we take very seriously. GymQuip Fitness and Spas will not sell, trade, give or rent any information obtained from you to a third party. GymQuip Fitness and Spas may from time to time amend, update, or change this statement. You should check this page periodically for changes to this statement.

We acknowledge that we may collect and store information about you as part of offering services on the website. In this regard, we will act ethically and as evidence of this commitment, we will take reasonable steps to comply with the following principals in relation to the information you give to us about you.

1. Collection
GymQuip Fitness and Spas collects the personal data that you volunteer via the www.gymquipfitness.com or associated sites owned by GymQuip, website via forms or by email. This information will only be collected by lawful and fair means.

In order to register with the GymQuip Fitness and Spas web site, we require some basic information about you. We also allow you to provide additional non-required information on registration and at other times. Only information marked as ‘required’ during registration is needed to use services on the website. This information is used for identification purposes and to contact you when necessary.

As you browse the GymQuip Fitness and Spas website, we may log the IP address of your computer, session details, and domain name to evaluate which parts of the website you visit and how long you stay there. We do not link your computer’s IP address with any other information you have submitted to us. While a gymquipfitness.com user’s session may be tracked, all users remain anonymous when tracked.

IP tracking information is aggregated with tracking data from all site visitors to measure number of visits, average time spent on the website, pages viewed, and to help diagnose problems with our servers.

2. Use and disclosure
GymQuip Fitness and Spas requires you to provide certain information about yourself in order to provide services to you. We will not rent, sell or exchange information about you to third parties (other than related parties) except where you consent, or except where you would expect the information to be disclosed, or except where we have indicated we may disclose; or except where we are legally obliged to disclose such information.

By choosing to write a comment or customer review, you have consented to the use of this information in future, for reproductions used in advertising by GymQuip Fitness and Spas, except where you have specified for us not to disclose this information.

3. Data quality
GymQuip Fitness and Spas will take reasonable steps to ensure that information we have about you is accurate, complete and up to date when we collect and use it.

4. Data security
GymQuip Fitness and Spas will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we hold about you is kept secure at all times. GymQuip Fitness and Spas will limit access to your personal information to employees and data processors that need it to carry out the service provided by us except where we inform you otherwise. Our employees and data processors are obliged to respect the confidentiality of clients and website visitors personal data. GymQuip Fitness and Spas will reinforce with other employees the policies and practices in relation to safeguarding personal information of clients and visitors, preventing its unauthorised access, use or disclosure, and ensuring its proper handling.

Our website has policies, rules and measures in place to protect the visitor’s personal data from:

If you provide us with satisfactory personal identification, such as your login details, GymQuip Fitness and Spas will let you have access to the information we keep about you and give you the opportunity to have that information corrected if it is found to be incorrect. Further, if GymQuip Fitness and Spas is not able to release details of personal information to you, then we will provide you with reasons for any denial of access or correction.

7. Anonymity
You can access our web site home page and browse the public area of the GymQuip Fitness and Spas website without disclosing personal information. GymQuip Fitness and Spas will, wherever it is lawful and practicable, give you the option of not identifying yourself to us except where it is necessary to use our website services.

We may store a unique user identifier in a cookie to identify you between visits to the site. You can use your browser to disable cookies, however, GymQuip Fitness and Spas is not liable for any errors which may be encountered with the website as a result.

14. Price Match Guarantee
The price price guarantee applies to authorised Australian based retailer’s final price, inclusive of freight, taxes and other additional charges. Product and price must be available on the retailer’s website. The retailer must have stock on hand at the time. Not available in conjunction with other offers/discounts. Interest free terms are not applicable to this price. Excludes closing down sales. Excludes Concept 2 products, Spare Parts, eBay, Marketplace, Gumtree, Kmart, Target, Big W and subscription based sites such as Costco and Amazon.

15. Hire Conditions

Conditions of Hire

The following conditions shall apply to the equipment more particularly described on the face of this document (hereinafter called “The Equipment”), owned by the supplier named on the face of this document (hereinafter called “The Company”), and agree by the company to be hired to the hirer named on the face of this document (hereinafter called “The Hirer”) that is to say:

1 In consideration of the hire charge more particularly set out on the face of this document, received by the company from the hirer, the company agrees to hire the equipment to the hirer and the hirer agrees to take the equipment on hire from the company, subject to the conditions set out in this document.

2 The hirer shall pay all hiring charges and deposits to the company before being entitled to delivery of the equipment.

3 The equipment shall be at the risk of the hirer from the time of delivery into the possession of the hirer, or hirer’s premises or the hirer’s servant or agent and the company shall be entitled to receive the equipment in like condition as to the condition of the equipment at time of delivery into the possession of the hirer, his servant or agent, provided that the company shall not be entitled to make any claim against the hirer in respect of fair wear and tear.

4 It is hereby agreed that any other person other than the hirer and other than an employee of the company who takes possession of the equipment for the purpose of delivery of the equipment into possession of the hirer shall be deemed to be the servant or agent of the hirer.

5 At the end of any period of hire in respect of which the company has received payment from the hirer, the hirer will have the option to re-hire the equipment at the same rate of hire, excluding special offers and subject to GST after June 2000 provided that the option must be exercised and further hire charges paid to the company before the expiry of the paid period of hire and provided further that any such further hire shall in all respects be subject to the conditions of the contract as expressed in this contract.

6 Exercise of the option expressed in the previous paragraph shall deemed to have been effected on payment being received by the company from the hirer.

7 The hirer hereby expressly warrants that he is aware that it shall at all times remain his responsibility to ensure that the return of the equipment to the company, in the event the hirer does not wish to exercise the option expressed in paragraph 5 above and that the hirer shall be responsible for further hire payments at the agreed rate of hire (as well as any other charges that may apply) for any period or part thereof that the equipment shall not be re-delivered into the possession of the company, notwithstanding any apparent agreement by or on behalf of the company, any such agreement being hereby negated.

8 In the event of the option expressed in paragraph 5 above not being exercised, or in the event of the company determining this contract for any reason whatsoever, the company shall be entitled to retake possession of the equipment forthwith without further notice to the hirer and such right of retaking possession extends to and includes a right in the company or its servant or agent at any time of the day or night, without the hirer being entitled to right of action or form of compensation against the company. In the event of such entry, whether forcible or otherwise, by the company or its servant or agent, onto the premises for the purpose of exercising any right of the company pursuant in this agreement, resulting in any action, claim or demand including any legal costs incurred by the company in connection therewith, provided that the company shall not be required to consult with the hirer or obtain the hirer’s consent to any step in connection with the defence of any such action, claim or demand or any counter-claim of the company in connection therewith.

9 Interest at the rate of five (5%) percent per month or part thereof shall accrue on any monies due to the company by the hirer.

10 It is hereby agreed that the hirer will seek medical advise prior to the usage of the equipment, and that the hirer will not be entitled to a claim against the company for any injury resulting from not seeking such guidance prior to usage.

11 It is hereby agreed that the hirer will ensure the equipment is in correct working order prior to the usage of the equipment, and that the hirer will not be entitled to a claim against the company for an injury resulting from not inspecting the equipment prior to usage.

12 The hirer warrants and undertakes that he will, in the event of moving to a new place of residence (or in the case of a company to a new place of business), notify the company prior to such change, whereupon the company shall have the option to forthwith rescind this agreement and be entitled to immediate re-delivery of possession of the equipment.

13 The hirer hereby warrants and undertakes that he will not move the equipment from the address of the hirer shown on the face of this document for a period in excess of seventy two (72) hours without having first obtained the consent of the company, in writing prior to moving the said equipment.

14 This agreement to hire may be terminated by the company at any time by notice in writing posted to the address of the hirer shown on the face of this document, the company shall be entitled to retake possession of the equipment immediately upon delivery of such notice in writing in the event of such cancellation of this agreement of this agreement by the company pursuant to this paragraph, the company undertakes to refund on a pro-rata basis, such proportion of the periodic hire rate as shall apply to the unused portion of hire.

15 In the event of the hirer being in default of any hire charges, any other charges or fees or any condition hereof, the company shall be entitled to forthwith rescind this agreement without notice to the hirer and shall then be immediately entitled to retake possession of the equipment in the event of cancellation by the company of this agreement pursuant to this paragraph, the hirer shall forfeit to the company any hire charges with respect to any unused period of hire.

16 The company shall be entitled to retain out of any deposits paid by the hirer such amounts as the company may in its discretion decide shall be sufficient to compensate the company for any loss, damage or inconvenience occasioned to the equipment or the company pursuant to this agreement.

17 The minimum period of hire shall be one (1) month, unless otherwise agreed by the company.

  • In consideration of the terms of this agreement and taking to the hirer of the equipment an option is hereby granted by the company to the hirer to purchase the equipment for cash or on terms, for the prices indicated respectively on the face of this agreement, less such hire charges as shall have been paid at the time of the exercise of the said option subject to the reduction in price being not greater than the payment made for the first hire period unless that is if the hire buy option has been exercised.
  • Return of the unit remains the responsibility of the hirer. If the collection has been paid for it still remains the responsibly of the hirer to book the collection. CALL 02 62804447.
  • Use of the equipment is for domestic indoor use only.
  • I have inspected the unit and accept that it is in good condition and not damaged. In the event the hire has been arranged online a 48 hour grace period applies to advise of damage.
  • Care should be taken to see that the hire equipment is not damaged. Damage resulting from neglect or misuse will be charged to the hirer.
  • Legal action for recovery will commence if the hirer cannot be contacted or the credit card will be debited for the full value of the goods.
  • Refund will not be given for hire items returned early in the first hire period.
  • I understand that my credit card will be debited for a further months hire charge on the due date until finalisation has been arranged and dehired. A Pro-rata refund will be credited to my card for any unused portion of the hire once the goods have been returned. Any overdues cannot be attributed to any purchase price.
  • 25% of the total hire fee paid up to a maximum of 12 months hire can be deducted from the minimum purchase price as indicated on your hire contract.
