Collection: Resistance Bands

Resistance bands, also called training bands, power bands or gym bands, are lightweight pieces of gym equipment that engage your muscles through using elastic resistance.

Resistance bands offer a uniquely clever form of training: they allow you to engage almost any muscle in almost any way, and they are so lightweight that they allow you to take strength training with you wherever you go, something you can’t do with traditional weight training equipment like barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells.

At GymQuip we stock a complete range of resistance bands, training bands and power bands in our Canberra store (Australia’s largest fitness showroom). No matter what your level of strength or your fitness goals, we’ll have a set of gym bands to suit.

Our entire range is also available for Australia-wide delivery through our online store, and will be sent to you backed by a generous shipping and returns policy and our famous price beat guarantee. Not sure which band to choose? Capitalise on our team’s deep expertise by calling 02 6280 4447 or emailing gymquip@gqfitness.com.au.

Resistance Bands FAQs

Do resistance bands actually work?

Resistance bands have been proven to be effective at increasing strength. In many cases they are just as effective as traditional free weights like barbells and dumbbells – you just have to choose the right level of resistance, which our expert GymQuip team is more than happy to guide you on.

Which type of resistance band is best?

There are two main types of resistance band: loop bands and tube bands. Tube bands tend to offer more resistance and feature switchable attachments, so they can be better for working major muscle groups. Loop bands are simpler, lighter and take up less space, while still offering a good level of resistance to work against.
