Collection: Weight Plate Storage

It’s right there in the name: weights are weighty. The simple act of placing plates on the bar can constitute a workout in itself – you just don’t really work the muscles you want to.

Weight plate storage racks and trees serve two main purposes: they maximise floor space by keeping your gym or studio tidy, and they minimise the effort (and potential for injury) of adding or subtracting weight from your bar.

At Gymquip we offer a number of weight plate storage solutions that tick both these boxes, while looking great and working exactly as you need them to. From bumper plate storage, to weight plate trees, to toaster racks, you’ll find the ideal solution for your fitness space in our sprawling range.

And if you aren’t sure which weight plate rack is right for you, you can speak with our expert team on (02) 6280 4447 or at gymquip@gqfitness.com.au. We send weight storage solutions Australia-wide, we offer a generous shipping and returns policy, and if you find our products cheaper elsewhere, we’ll beat that price!

Weight Plate Storage FAQs

Do I need a plate rack?

From commercial gyms to home studios, a plate rack is one of the best fitness equipment investments anyone can make. Without a weight plate storage solution, you’ll be forced to leave your weight plates on the floor, taking up valuable space, creating a tripping hazard, and making it more difficult to pick up the plates when you need them.

What are weight plate storage options?

The two most common weight plate storage options are:

  • Weight plate tree: A weight plate tree stores your plates vertically to minimise the use of floor space.  There are different styles that suit different weights, from standard size weight plates to Olympic and bumper plates. You can also get weight plate tree that can store a couple of bars as well as all your weights.
  • Weight plate toaster rack: A horizontal rack that takes up a little more floor space, this option sees plates stored like bread in a toaster. Easily moved with a handle and transport wheels to move out of the way when not in use.
